Paying for prescription drugs can be very costly, especially if there is no insurance or a family’s income is such that they can’t afford to pay for expensive medications.  St. Francis Family Health Care offers a Medication Assistance Program to assist uninsured and underinsured patients with receiving free prescription medications.
The program is open to anyone who meets specific income and insurance qualifications:

  • Must be a legal resident of the United States
  • Cannot have or qualify for any prescription coverage that are available through certain government programs, or HMOs and PPOs, and
  • Must have a total household income below the pharmaceutical company’s poverty level.

Receiving physician authorization is just one step in the process of receiving free medications. Patients call St. Francis Family Health Care (660/562-2525) to make an appointment.  During a visit, we review income and insurance guidelines to determine eligibility.  Each patient’s medication list is evaluated and verified against medical records.

For more information on the Medication Assistance Program or to make an appointment, call St. Francis Family Health Care at (660) 562-2525.
